The house I bought five years ago has a beautiful finished basement with fireplace. However, the individual vinyl tiles that were glued to the cement floor are starting to come up. I'm having trouble deciding what to do now. I don't want any kind of carpet due to a very old, incontinent dog. What kind of tiles would be best on a well-traveled cement floor? Ceramic, porcelain, or marble? Or is there another way to go? The room is paneled.
