Is there anything that I can do to kill the Morning Glory, yet not harm the other plants?

Morning Glory vines
I have recently moved into a new house and the yard is nicely landscaped, except for the morning glory that is choking ALL the other plants, shrubs and trees.
Hi RoyK,
You really need to dig these out to get rid of them.Trying to spray them next year with a herbicide will be tricky.I am not aware of any other method to get rid of them.

Hi RoyK,
Matches is right. The BEST solution is to dig them out.
I did some WEB-searching and did read that there are Herbicides for the vines, but it's only for 'new growth'. A chemical called D-24 was one. However, it did say that it will kill ANYTHING that moves or don't moves. As always, read the info BEFORE you leave the store to be SURE it's what you want and you have the right 'tools' for the job.
My best to ya and hope this helps.
