My contractor just finished laying an 18" x 18" pocelin tile in kitchen.Yeterday they grouted the 1/4" joints.It appears that they floated the hole floor with grout at they filled joints.The tile has some shallow fissures that are now colored the same as the joints.This has changed the look of the tile completely because these light colored spots stand out against the brown tile. In addition, the tiles have a dull finish.Contractor on the way over to discuss.Said on phone that they always do it that way.I tried to scrub one tile to see if it improved look-no change.

I'm really disappointed-would appreciate suggestions. Thanks.
