Bvflooring
Many contractors have said it can be done but then say it can't be done. My heart is on a roller coaster. I want the color white, wood flooring for my kitchen - kitchenette area. It needs to be a hardwood and then coated with an acrylic finish. Is there anyone out there that can help me. I've looked so long and am almost in tears. Thank you.

oh i love white... i'm not sure if there are floors that are really really white though (are you looking for something chalk white?)It's simply perfect for a country kitchen. You can try ifloor.com..they have this neat search option where you go to the left side and click on light (under shade), then just refine your search from there..what i can suggest are the following (these were among my final contenders when i did my search..i'm glad I kept a list, just check if they're still there though):

Bruce, riverplank -- ivory white

Parky Top Bamboo Natural

Parky Maple -- PLMaple

Anderson - Pecan strip/plank

Sterling Prestige Plank -- Winter white

i might have mispelled the product names..good luck with your search! Just a note to help keep your hopes up: You can get through this..once you find the perfect floor you'd know all your troubles were worth it.

Thank you handyhoney for your reply. I thought there was no one out there that knew about "white wood flooring". I will try your suggested avenues for "white".

It's just so great to hear from you.

I have decided to buy and renovate a house myself, and for some reason, I too am enamored with white wood flooring. I've been looking everywhere, and I think I've decided on Pergo Boathouse Pine, It's white, but with a little brown and gray, of course i've only seen whats on the internet, no real pictures or samples. Let me know what you used, and if anyone has used this pergo boathouse pine, puleaaaaase send me some pictures. thank you. by the way you can go to the pergo website to look at it, but its just a tiny fraction, i need the whole picture.

My husband and I put Pergo Boathouse Pine in our kitchen. We LOVE it and are glad we chose it. It has the perfect cottage feel we were after.
