6 years ago we put linoleum in our bathroom on top of vinyl tile. Our house sits on a concrete slab. After about a year the linoleum started molding underneath. Now we are attempting to take up the linoleum and but down ceramic tile. Is there some way to keep the floor from molding uinderneath the ceramic tile and coming up through the grout????

One way would be to put a membrane like Ditra from Schluter down first. This will act as a moisture barrier and an anti fracture membrane if there are minor shifts in the concrete over time. Do a google on Ditra to get more info.
