I will be installing Artmstrong floating snap together boards.It has a padded backing already attached. 2 questions about the installation of the floor. I am going to screw down the floor to get the squeeks out. Do I need to lay down any felt paper or any other type of underlayment? next is about butting up to the carpet areas in the other rooms. I know there is some type of trim but what do you do about the metel edge strips that are already there where it meets the old vinyl floor now? thank you
