Thanks, Tileguy. Thanks for the info. I'm using sanded grout, which was recommended for my 1/4" spacing. You mentioned polyurethane. We thought of using that. Would there be a problem with it ? ~Ed

When it gets applied to wood and later needs to be removed for whatever reason, it has to be sanded off. That wont happen with tile under it, so once its down its there forever.
