My wife wants to put glass in our shower stall THE WHOLE SHOWER STALL I am having mixed reviews with this idea will it be overwhelming or hard to keep shiny? I need help to convince her that it would wiser to use as an accent? Help!!!

There is no performance different in regards to maintainability.
ANY surface will get residue on it if not properly cleaned/maintained routinely.
Some surfaces with a matte finish or rougher finished surface will be more diffucult to clean once buildup starts, and if the *accents* you suggest has a matte/rougher surface then the glass, then they would be the ones harder to maintain and keep clean than the glass.
With a healthy cleaning/maintenance regimine, it should not be an issue either way.
