Hi everyone. I am replacing the carpet in my condo with engineered hardwood. The subfloor is gypcrete and cannot be changed per condo association, so I am using the floating installation method. Is there any way to minimize of eliminate the "hollow" sound that happens with floating floors?
Specifically, is there a certain brand or type of underlayment or certain thickness or brand of engineered floor which would reduce or eliminate the "hollow" sound?
