I am thinking of puting tile over my countertops in my kitchen and up the wall for a backspash. My countertops are 45 years old and squared corners. I will be putting in a new sink and stovetop. I would also seal it when finished. My question is should I and what type of tile and grout? thanks

any type of tile you want there.

grout type is designated by joint size.

1/8" or less wide joints use unsanded grout.

joints over 1/8" use sanded grout.

some people really like epoxy grout for areas like countertops because it is very stan resistent, but it is a big headache to isntall for cleanup.

if not using epoxy grout, seal the joints with a product liek aqua mix
