Currently the room has carpet, at the join place; I can feel it is not that flat.

If I plan to replace the carpet with hardwood floor.

1. Does this will causing problem?

2. Do I need to replace subfloor?

the short answer is "maybe".

there is no way to tell without seeing what you have to work with in regards to underlying subfloor.
