I have never put tile or a floor in before and wanted to know if I can lay a laminate wood floor right over the existing self stick vinyl tiles in the kitchen without having to remove the tiles. The tiles appear to be a very expensive brand, they are in excellent shape, no cracks or holes, I just hate the color of the floor and want laminate wood so it can blend better with the rest of the oak hardwood flooring we have in the rest of the house. I really did not want the hassle of having to remove the old tiles, so I need to know if it is OK to just lay the interlocking laminate flooring right over it..

Thanks,
