After a great deal of work my family refinished some old pine flooring in my kitchen. A workman dragged the refrigerator across the floor (I told him to let me know when he moved it) and now there are both scratches and dents in the floor. Any ideas how to repair?

If the scratches and dents went through the wear layer/finish, you may need board replacement. Then refinishing of the floor to feather it into existing.
This is something that they worker who did the damage is responsible for or the contractor doing the work.
