I have to remove a small piece of vinyl flooring (sheet not tile) from my bathroom as I am relplacing with tiles. I have been reading a lot about asbestos and wanted to get any views on this subject. My house was built in 1987.

the preferred method of dealing with asbestos in the home is to clad over it or seal it in place.

if that is not possible, contact your local governement or a local asbestos abatement contractor for removal concerns and information.

The links I posted will give you a ton of information on laws and what you can and can't legally do.
