What is the best way to remove grout that has dried on tile? Is there a chemical?

Suphamic acid crystals work well. Mix with water and soak the area you want to remove. Give it about 5 minutes. Do not do this if the tile is a stone like marble, granite or travertine. There are cleaners made specifically for stone.

Thanks for the reply. The room was tiled before I bought the place. What is your thought on the acid?
