I have two layers of shingles and need to remove them before i install new shingles.What is the best tool to remove them.I have heard a regular flat shovel.Is that true or is there something that works better?

You can buy a spade type shovel which has an angle plate on the bottom so that you have leverage.

They're available at any roof supply house {open to anyone with money}, and at some BOG BOX hardware stores.

You'll need a nice heavy duty flat pry bar as well. Remember you don't want to damage your roof decking.
