The floor in our sun room is asbestos tile and cracking. In other areas we see moisture seeping up from the tile. We have been told that we have a hydrostatic pressure problem for which there is no easy solution. One suggestion is to just leave the floor alone and build a "floating floor" and then put new floor covering on it. My concern is cost and leaving the asbestos tile and wondering if we would run in to a problem when we would want to sell the house. I would like to use a filler where the tile has come up and then seal the floor. Is there a sealer that would stop the hydrostatic pressure so that we could put flooring on top of the sealed surface?
