I have a two storey house built about 10 years ago. It has always had creaky stairs and oneroom upstairs creaks badly as well. Upstairs is carpet over sheet flooring and I'm not sure what type of wood is under the carpet on the stairs. I would like to install floating laminate flooring downstairs and on the stairs and hallway upstairs. Will this make any difference to the creaking. Its driving me nuts!!
