Putting some screws on wall, stud finder says elec in area
Our bath closet is about 37" wide and about 40" deep. It had shelves via four wooden strips across the left, front and right of the 3 walls; thereby four square shelves were nailed to those strips of wood. Now the shelves are gone. I'd like to put in two 6' metal tracks from top to bottom in the back of the closet, then add brackets and shelves. My Question: When I used the stud finder, it kept saying AC near by where I'll be adding these screws (to hold on the tracks). What should I do so I don't get zapped? Is using a rubbered covered screwdriver enough? Do they not put AC in front of studs in case person wants to add shelving in the closet? If it matters, the left wall is the back of the bathtub, the right wall is the hallway where it does have an outlet, and behind the walls where I'll be putting the tracks is another bedroom. Sorry for the extra info, but I don't know if these other things are relevant. I'm going to do this tomorrow (Sat 3/5), so a quick answer would help a lot. Thank you. Betty
