Bob's final visit to Elm Court begins with a tour of the upstairs guest suites. Bob and Sonya Berle explain how they designed each room, citing their inspiration for decor and color choices.

The media room has been finished off with Smith + Noble window treatments and Whirlpool appliances have been installed in the laundry room. At the end of the hall, the master bedroom suite is also getting some final touches from Smith + Noble.

A quick tour of an adjacent wing of the home is a stark reminder that the work is far from over.

Part 3: Elm Court's Guest Suites: Bob tours the guest suites at the Elm Court mansion, starting with the Emily Vanderbilt Suite, which has railroad-inspired colors and historic period furniture pieces that add to the room's austere elegance.

The room began as heiress Emily Vanderbilt Sloane's private bedroom and now has a large dressing room with a coffered wood ceiling, a state-of-the-art high-tech media room, and a large bathroom. The room also features a large open balcony overlooking the waters of the Stockbridge Bowl.

The second room on the tour sustained heavy damage from vandals, but has been elaborately restored down to the finest details. The last suite combines Art Deco- and Empire-style furniture to create a "city-sleek" decor.
Part 4: The Bachelor's Den at Elm Court

Beautifully sited on wooded acreage with breathtaking views of some of the most beautiful countryside in New England, this Arts and Crafts style bungalow certainly doesn't look factory-built. You'd never know it was a modular home unless Bob took you to the Pennsylvania factory where it was built, almost from start to finish.

The house goes down the assembly line from framing, through wiring and plumbing, all the way to the installation of flooring and priming for paint.

The house is trucked to its pre-fabricated foundations on the lot, and start all the finishing touches that will prove that a modular house doesn't have to be a cookie-cutter affair.

Bob visits the Simplex factory to witness the the prefab process. All of the work in progress is going on indoors, safe from the elements that can slow traditional home construction. The work underway includes roof assembly, subfloor installation, wall framing, and drywall application for the house's main living areas. Tasks that are also ongoing include spackling and sanding, installing insulation, applying wall and roof sheathing, plus house wrapping and interior trim work. Leviton structured wire boxes, which will form the backbone of the home's voice and data system, are also being installed, while, at the Simplex stair shop, the staircase for the project houses is being carefully assembled.
