Project: Dream Garage and Boat Storage, Episode 4, Part 3



With the garage's slab foundation complete, Paul Pacella and the crew from Maine Post and Beam of Cape Cod begin work on the framing. The truck arrives and drops the materials, which are sorted and then cut to size using special techniques and tools particular to this style of building. Bob takes a trip to Esty Lumber in Groveland, MA, where the materials are pre-cut to the specifications of each post-and-beam plan.

Bob and contractor Bob Ryley review the building plans and the progress made on the post-and-beam garage. Framing continues, and Bob discusses the various joints and tools used. He and Ryley also choose a large door for one end of the building.
