Determining if a wall is load bearing Posted by Kevin on March 15th, 2003 07:49 AM In reply to DeAnn, use a all in one painters tool by LJ in TX on January 18th, 2003 08:46 AM [Go to top of thread]
Hello,
I am getting to start a project to add two recessed medicine cabinets. After I remove the drywall, I am not sure how to tell if the wall I am about to change is load bearing.
Let me try an describe the area.
One of the medicine cabinets is to go into a wall next to a double door opening, from the master bedroom. The door itself sits back from a tray ceiling about 3 feet. So I am not sure if the wall in which the door the is located is a load bearing wall or not. Careful here is some ascii art
