Gee, guys, stripping wallpaper is usually not that difficult. We have had 3 year olds start the process for us a couple of times.
One thing that will help is a Paper Tiger. This is a roller gadget with little point on rollers in it. The points go thru the paper just enough for the stripping liquid to get under the paper. Since you roll it around, you make a lot of little holes so the whole process is easier and faster. The stripping liquids from the home centers work great but plain old vinegar and water works well too. If you do have a vinyl coated paper, you do have to get the vinyl layer off. The 3 year old works great for this. Just give them one little loose edge and they will handle the rest.
