Thanks for the great response, Jay. Here is my situation (I think). I have a drain tile system and eventually the water in my wells drains into it (it doesn't seem to come into the basement). But until it works its way through the clay it builds up and leaks in the windows. I put in glass block windows to try and help this. But I don't like the idea of the water sitting there. I thought maybe I could help out using rock. But now that I'm typing this I am thinking I would need to dig all the way down the the tile, right? Since they probably back filled with clay. I was originally hoping I could dig down a few feet and hit something permeable. What's your take?
