I live in a home that I rent. The owners allowed me to take up the carpet. Under the carpet is a very old brown tile. I cannot afford to invest money in the house since it is not mine. The owners do not want to replace the carpet or put down new flooring. Can you give me a idea on how to fill in the places where the tile was ripped up when I removed the carpet strips, and also what I could use to paint this type of tile. I am not sure what it is called but it is a hard type tile that breaks very easily. Any idea will be appreciated.
