Hi, I am removing the old tile from a bathroom tub that is on the outside wall of the house. The tile is on a wire-mesh filled with cement and that is nailed to the old plaster wall. I am afraid that by taking the cement and mesh off I will be removing too much of the wall. I am replacing it with more tile so will cover it back up. Am I going to be removing too much if I take the tile and its backer off? And what is the best way to recover the wall for the new tile?
