I need to remove 200 sq ft of carpet and 40 sq ft of vinyl covering from a basement concrete floor. The old carpet has been glued down (no tack strips at the edges). The installer of the new carpet said they will not touch the vinyl until I remove it and they charge a lot to scrape up the old carpet. What tools do I need to make this removal job as easy as possible? Thanks.
