Lara........not really - a few hundred $ for a sink and tub. When you weigh that against the cost of buying "new" old ones - assuming you can find them - the price isn't so much.
Remember that ceramic is just glass afterall - so it sounds like you are ready to go - since you already know how to polish that!
Maybe I should look into a glass person to do our tubs - we have two that need polishing - but they are both upstairs - and it scares me to think of trying to take them out of the house!
