I have a simular water problem as the two above mentioned examples. Water comes in between the foundation and sill plate and has over a 9 years gone undetected due to the basement being finished off in dry wall. Over this period of time it has dry rotted the sill plate at the corner support and going about one foot the lenght of the sill plate).
The dry rot has also effected the corner doubled-up 2 X 4 at the corner.
How do I go about replacing the dry rotted sill plate the 2 X 4 support plus the attached green board that was in front of it?
Is this a repair I can do or should this be professionally taken care of?
