I have a finished off basement was cellar wall are upI have vented doors around furnace also doo under stairs and a couple more doors they all sit on pt two by fours so I only have one and a half inches I'm able to lay cement. Floor parts of old cement floor has holes and cracks how can I level this to lay carpet. can I poor just an inch of cenment to try and level it then paint it with hydrolic water sealing paint then carpet. will it hold up.
