Lynn............go find a product called DIF - any paint/paper store will have it.
Follow the directions on the back - and you will be all set - I have used this for years (as have many people - it is a very common product) and it works great.
If you don't have a "peelable" wallpaper on there (peelable is the type that the colour layer peels off - leaving the backing paper on the wall) get yourself a Paper Tiger - this scoring tool will score the paper so that the DIF can get back there and dissolve the glue.
Lets hope you have peelable paper - I did a small bathroom last weekend that had peelable - took me about 2 hours. I had a similar size laundry room without peelable - took 2 of us 2 days!
Follow the directions on the DIF - take your time - patience is a virtue when stripping paper!
