I was trying to save the cost but I must have relocation the septic tank for update the one I have now is steel and it had rusty already. I am going to addition the bedrooms so, some constructors say I have to use speical sand for leachfeild as Monroe county's approved and I am going to install new septic tank and piping then fill the sand for raise bed. Now I asking you about the sand itself are like pool sand or what kind of sand ? I am going to put 12 inches sand bed and 85 feet by 42 feet by 10 feet taper so I asumed 150 yard of sand but constructors charge me $15 per yard of sand, Is that too much ? and the piping that I will use Equalizer 24
( www.infiltratorsystems.com )but other constructor's suggest to use PVC with hole.
What is your suggestion? I am still shopping around for the sand itself. Hope hear from you soon,
