uneven flooring "PLEASEHELP" HOW DO I FIX

My kitchen has uneven flooring it looks like waves, and I get dizzy just walking on it. How do I fix without spending a fortune. The is house is structually sound.
My guess is I'll be living in this house for about 15 months. I don't want to tear anything up. Could I possibly put padding and linoleum tiles on top? Will it be too much padding

Any creative ideas will be appreciated.
