restaining clapboards

My house has cedar clapboards that were originally stained with Moorewood English Walnut (dark brown) 10 years ago. I want to stain over it with Behr Wedgewood (gray) and wanted to know what kind of prep work I'd need to do or if I could just apply the new stain directly over the existing stain.
