My house was built in 1953. We are remodeling a bathroom from ceiling to floor. We want to install a bath fan. I already have an existing switch. This switch has only 2 wires coming in & they are both black. The fan has three wires (black, white & green) The switch already controls a ceiling light. Can I "jump" the fan from this cable in the switch and can I change this switch to a two single pole switch. Also, can you explain the new wiring set up for this since the fan has a ground wire but the switch doesn't. The fan is a wall mount to be installed above the tub/shower. The bathroom does have a GFCI in it already. Any help is greatly appreciated. I do have some wiring knowledge but would like help before I actually "turn it all back on"! Thanks tandm
