John, my sump pump outlet pipe is PVC and has been in the ground about 35 years. As far as I know, there is no problem with this in any way. The only thing to watch for is roots. They seem to find a way into the pipe and have to be rooted out. Be sure you have a clean-out outside where the pipe goes out of the house and glue all your joints well. Henry in MI
