We would like to install ceramic tile in the kitchen. There is old vinyl tile squares down now. Under them appears to be wood (it doesn't look like particle board, it seems to be planks). We are wondering if ceramic tile can be put on top of the vinyl or if we should take it up and put it on the wood underneath or if neither is acceptable. Any help would be appreciated!
