Brian.....you sure can!

Clean surface well - alcohol works well on grease and grime - and doesn't leave a film

Prime with one coat of Glidden Ultra-Hide Gripper.

When that is dry - apply two coats of Glidden topcoat of your choice. Evermore, Ultra-Hide, and Ralph Lauren are all great products.
