You could probably remove portions of the 2x4 trusses and replace or sister them with 9" or so TGI's, a/o microlams and stay within codes. I'd recommend discussing with your local authority. I would recommend using the TGIs or lams, and not bothering with the machine taking building load.
Not only is it not to code, it just simply doesn't make good sense for the machine, nor the building.
