Hi, Brenda. Assuming that your teak chair has an oiled finish, the first thing to do is clean off any old dirt and body oil off the wood. Take the chair outside and wipe both arms off with acetone or lacquer thinner. Depending on your chair, you might want to do this if a head would contact any wood on the back. Then take the chair inside and apply teak oil. Be sure to wear chemical resistant gloves and eye protection when working with the acetone, lacquer thinner or teak oil. If your chair has a film finish--varnish, shellac or lacquer--you will have to strip the whole thing and reapply a new finish.
