A client recently experienced cracking in a beautiful terrazzo floor that was constructed in 1965 and refinished in 1999. Several cracks appears Nov. 2002. Moisture measurements show that the flooring contained elevated moisture in area that is cracked. Can moisture absorption crack the flooring after all these years? Is the crack the result of concrete shrinkage? Does Terrazzo shrink or expand with time?
