i just wanted to thank you for providing me with such a great idea for removing the vinyl tiles

i used a house hold iron with a damped rag, and it came off like butter!!!

i am getting ready to lay down 1/4 inch backerboard

do i need to strip the old glue off or since i am using mortar and screws to lay the backerdboard will be enough?
