If you want top-notch quality, I can suggest a floor from Kahrs. This line is not as easy to fine as some other names, but it is absolutely beautifully made and has great quality. Our den floor is an engineered floating in natural red oak (subfloor is concrete) and we can't wait to add Kahrs to the rest of the house.
