But, I know a crappy window when I see it. I guess my local idiot was more interested in selling windows for a huge house than he was mentioning warranty limitations. Maybe all windows leak, but Hurds do more than their share. EVERY WINDOW THAT HAD DIRECT SUNLIGHT ON IT LEAKED. No big stress was exerted on them--save for sunshine! I know people who have had the same windows for 25 years and are just replacing them. I didn't install these windows--we paid dearly for that--now we've paid dearly again. We have all casements, not sliders--only the doors are sliders. The slider in the living room leaked, but the one on the same side of the house but inside a screened in porch did not. I think the flaw was in the window--not this homeowner.
