I am attempting to finish off part of my basement, though I do not live in a flood zone, I would like to do a subfloor just in case, and use a laminate such as Pergo flooring on it. My idea is to build another beadroom suite with a bath. I already have roughed out plumbing for the bathroom. So any clues? I was thinking 2x4 framing with treated plywood, am I totally off base?
