Katrina, you might check a couple of recent issues of Family Handyman magazine or similar sources. I'm sure that I saw an ad for a new flooring material that came in small, prefinished panels and was elevated and sealed on the bottom. It's supposed to be made just for this kind of application. Sorry but I can't tell you more without some research, but it did sound like it would be worht checking out. As I recall, the panels were about 16" or 24" square.
