Joe, a lot can be done. Your best bet would be to get ahold of the issue of Family Handyman magazine from a year or 2 ago with a long article on this subject. There is just more in that article than can be covered here and their pictures/artwork are better than anyones vocabulary. Advising that a well placed nail or screw will work is one thing. A picture with where to drill for and drive the screw is much better. I know that I posted the info on the article/issue availability here and my guess is that it was about a year ago. A search may find it, but it was not in the title, as I recall.
