Garage Door opened mysteriously

Our garage door opened mysteriously this morning. My husband said we must be on the same frequency as someone else's garage door.

We don't want to have to lock the door each time we open and close it, as it poses a problem with keeping up with another little key.

How should we go about fixing this problem?
