I am building a new house using red iron as in commercial buildings. The roof will be 8-12 standing seam sheet metal with cathedral ceiling. The roof perlins will be 8" deep with 3" vinyl covered insulation between the roof sheets and top of perlins. Would using "Insulboard or Cool Deck" help if used at bottom of perlin and drywall of ceiling. Advise on walls as well. Builder says "will not warrenty roof if not using vinyl insulation under sheets.
