Twin Flush Valve problem

I have a McPherson Twin Flush Valve toilet, model #UP-TF which I purchased in 1986.. Five years slater I had to replace the twin flush valve due to bad flushing.

Now the valve is not closing properly which is causing the toilet bowl to overflow. What procedure do I follow to resolve my problem?
